HappyMod Old Versions: Download Every Previous APK (3.1.5 to 3.2.8)

Looking for a HappyMod old version? This page lists every previous APK we host, from 3.1.5 up to 3.2.8, with the real file size and a direct download link for each one. Before you pick one, read the short section on why you might need an older build and the one on how to downgrade without losing your downloaded mods. One thing up front: unless your phone cannot run it, HappyMod 3.5.1 is the version you should be using. It is the only release that gets fixes, and it is 18.1 MB, smaller than every build in the table below.

Why would anyone want an older HappyMod?

There are three honest reasons. If none of them apply to you, skip the table and install the current release.

Your phone runs an older Android

HappyMod 3.5.1 requires Android 11 or newer. Plenty of phones and tablets still run Android 9 or 10 and will never get an update. On those devices the current build will not install, and a previous version is the only option. Check your Android version under Settings, About phone, before you download anything.

A specific mod only works on an older client

This is rare, but it happens. Occasionally a mod page or its download flow behaves differently between client versions, and users in the comments report that it works on 3.2.x and fails on the newest build. If several recent comments say exactly that for the mod you want, a temporary downgrade is a reasonable test. Go back to the current version afterwards.

You want to test a problem

If HappyMod 3.5.1 crashes on your phone and nothing in our 10 fixes guide helps, installing one older version tells you whether the problem is the app or the phone. If the old build fails the same way, the cause is on your device, not in the app.

Storage is sometimes mentioned as a reason too, but it is not a good one here. The current 3.5.1 file is 18.1 MB, which is smaller than any release in the table.

HappyMod old versions: download table

Every link below is hosted on this site. Sizes are the exact sizes of the files on our server, rounded to one decimal. Newest first.

HappyMod 3.2.620.9 MBDownload 3.2.6

HappyMod 3.1.719.7 MBDownload 3.1.7
HappyMod 3.1.518.2 MBDownload 3.1.5

After the download finishes, check the size in your Files app against the table. A file that is much smaller than listed was cut off and will give a parse error when you open it. Delete it and download again.

Which old version should you pick?

Pick the newest one that runs on your phone. Start with 3.2.8. If it refuses to install or crashes at launch, step down one release at a time. There is no advantage in jumping straight to 3.1.5. Older builds have more known bugs, and the oldest ones may no longer reach every download server. Whatever you choose, the mods themselves come from the same library, so the version of the client does not change which games you can find.

How to downgrade HappyMod

Android never installs an older version of an app over a newer one. If you try, you get “App not installed” with no explanation. The fix is to remove the current copy first. Your downloaded mods are safe through this process, because they are stored as APK files outside the app.

  1. Open HappyMod and note any mods you have queued, because the download list itself is reset when the app is removed.
  2. Go to Settings, Apps, HappyMod, and tap Uninstall. On a phone with a work profile, choose Uninstall for all users.
  3. Download the version you want from the table above and confirm the file size.
  4. Open the APK from your Files app. If Android asks, allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps. Our step by step install guide shows the settings path for Samsung, Xiaomi and Pixel phones.
  5. If Play Protect warns you, tap More details and then Install anyway.
  6. Open the app, allow storage access, and your previously downloaded mod files are still in the Downloads folder, ready to install.

Keep your downloaded mods

HappyMod saves each mod as a normal APK in your storage, usually in a HappyMod folder inside Downloads or Android/data. Uninstalling the store app does not delete files in Downloads. If you want to be sure, copy that folder to your computer or to cloud storage before you uninstall. You can install any of those APKs later by tapping them in a file manager, with or without HappyMod on the phone.

Why 3.5.1 is still the right choice for almost everyone

Older builds are a fallback, not an upgrade. The current release is the only one that receives bug fixes and keeps pace with changes to the download servers. It is also the smallest file of the twelve. Our HappyMod 3.5.1 changelog lists what changed in the latest release, and how to update HappyMod shows how to move back to the current version in two minutes once you are done testing. If your phone runs Android 11 or newer, there is no good reason to stay on 3.2.x.

FAQs

Do old HappyMod versions still work?

The 3.2.x releases generally still open and download mods. The oldest 3.1.x builds may show empty pages or failed downloads for some mods, because the servers they expect have changed. Use the newest version your phone supports.

Will I lose my mods if I downgrade?

No. Installed mods stay installed, and downloaded APK files stay in your storage. Only HappyMod’s own settings and download queue are reset.

Can I install an old version over the new one?

No. Android blocks downgrades of any app. Uninstall the current HappyMod first, then install the older APK.

Which version works on Android 10?

Start with 3.2.8 and step down if it fails to install. Android 11 is required only by 3.5.1, so the 3.2.x line is your first stop on Android 10 or older.

Final words

Use an old version of HappyMod only when you have to: an older Android, a mod that needs it, or a quick test. Everyone else should run the current build. Download the latest HappyMod APK from the homepage, or go straight to the HappyMod 3.5.1 download page.
